Hotel Review: 5 Rooms at The Stirling Hotel

5 Rooms at The Stirling Hotel is a boutique hotel occupying the second floor of The Stirling Hotel located in Stirling, one of Adelaide Hills most picturesque towns. The hotel is boutique with only 5 rooms all with different layouts and features as well as a shared kitchen space with cooking and laundry facilities and continental breakfast options. There is also the bistro restaurant downstairs for those wanting a cooked breakfast during your stay.
The Room
We were excited to see our room as we love staying in historical buildings, the room we booked was Balcony Room 4 which occupied the middle section of the second floor of the building and had a large en-suite with a combined couples shower and steam room, featured a fireplace and Ashley & Co New Zealand made toiletries. The bedroom has its own spacious private balcony overlooking Stirling's main street as well as a gas fireplace, chic lounge furniture including a throne chair, comfortable king bed. There is also a stocked mini bar, Nespresso coffee machine, selection of teas, two flat screen TV's and a writing desk. There was complimentary bottled water beside the bed as well as complimentary cookies and a bottle of red wine for staying on a Sunday night which came in handy when we wanted to cuddle up in front of the toasty fireplace at night.
Customer Service
We found the customer service excellent and could not fault the service at all. We loved the service we received from the staff but also loved the fact that we felt at home at 5 Rooms at The Stirling Hotel, we could come and go as we pleased without constantly bumping in to staff but at the same time they were always on hand to assist with anything we needed.
Restaurants & Bars
The hotel has two restaurants The Bistro and The Dining Room however due to Covid-19 restrictions The Dining Room was closed during out stay but we did eat both lunch and dinner at The Bistro and found the food excellent, we had seafood, steak and chicken and all meals were well presented tasty and would definitely be classified as gastro pub style. Special shout out to the hotel manager who went out of his way to make sure that our gluten free requirements were met at all meal times. As mentioned above you can have a cooked breakfast in The Bistro or there are cereals, fruit and juices in the shared kitchen. We opted for juice and fruit in the morning as we were short on time.
Hotel Facilities
Except for what we've mentioned above the hotel also has function rooms, a liquor store and a patisserie located behind the hotel next to the supermarket.
Summary
We absolutely loved our stay at 5 Rooms at The Stirling Hotel, the location in this beautiful picturesque Adelaide Hills town is fantastic as is the great food offered by the hotel. The staff were amazing and made us feel at home and catered for all our our requirements. We loved the chic design of our room and the view from our private balcony. I would say that of the hotels we have stayed at in Adelaide 5 Rooms at The Stirling Hotel has become our new favourite, would we stay at 5 Rooms at The Stirling Hotel again? Answer: Definitely yes, we would make the effort to travel out of Adelaide just to stay here again, it deserves all of the awards and accolades it has received.
